DJ Fokus Tokyo, Japan - What is Fokus Sound?
Brief History
In 1996 in Seoul, South Korea, DJ Fokus started his "Tribal House" Sound. After holding residencies at some of the most import underground clubs in Seoul, he was the given the headlining spot for the opening night of the first "Asian Music Expo", held in the summer of 2001.
In 1998 his move to Tokyo Japan helped propel his Sound into many of Tokyo's top nightclubs. With a year on Shibuya FM, regular club events at Orbient, Mission, Luners, La Fabrique, The Ruby Room, Sugar High, and The Loft. Special appearances and guest slots at Velours, Yellow and Pascha and a 1 year Residency and CD release at Club Asia, DJ Fokus managed to get his sound out to the masses.
After taking a short break from the DJing world for the birth of his son, he is now back with his new Fokus Sound, experience it every month at Baby Loves Disco Japan!
What is Fokus Sound
An eclectic mix of Funk, Disco, House, 80's & 90's, Latin and Tribal sounds. Kind of like an Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat of music spanning 30+ years. Meant for the kid in you!!
